Daytime Team Lead
Cassidy joined BGCL Youth Centre in July of 2024 as a summer camp staff. In the fall, she took over as the daytime team lead where she facilitates the EmpowerED program and supports students with their education needs. You can usually find Cassidy around the centre during the day until 4:00.
Outside of work, Cassidy enjoys spending time with her cat (Kyle), going to the gym and reading! You can always talk to Cassidy about Harry Potter!

Alison Kearl

evening team lead
Alison joined BGCL Youth Centre in November of 2023 as the Evening Team Lead, where she runs our evening programs and activities. You can usually find Alison around the centre after school until the centre closes.
Outside of work Alison enjoys hanging out with her friends, going to the gym, and watching True Crime Documentaries. You can always talk to Alison about Horror Movies!
Alison runs the afterschool drop in, Youth game changers, 2SLGBTQIA+ Hangout, Chosen family Dinner and Rec Night programming. Please feel free to contact her with any questions you may have about these programs.

Stephen Williams

Youth Leader
Stephen started with BGCL Youth Centre in 2024 as a Youth Leader where she supports our evening programs and activities, and runs Rec Night programs. You can usually find Stephen around the centre in the after school hours.
Outside of work, Stephen likes to work out, play video games and play basketball with his friends. You can always talk to Stephen about videos games!
Mike Pols

Mike joined BGCL Youth Centre Octoberof 2024 as a Youth Leader where he supports our EmpowerED Daytime Program. You can usually find Mike around the centre late morning and early afternoon.
Outside of work Mike enjoys playing video games, reading and watching hockey. You can always talk to Mike about pretty much every sport!
Salamandra Smart

Youth centre mascot and ESA
This little dude joined BGCL Youth Centre October of 2024 when they showed up one day unexpectedly. You can find them at the front desk anytime, but they like to sleep during the day usually.
Outside of their work as an emotional support amphibian and representing our youth centre, they enjoy eating crickets, burying himself in coco coir and sleeping. You can always talk to them about insects!
